Barrakets is a beloved boutique nestled in the heart of Narrabri, proudly serving our community with a curated selection of clothing, gifts, and accessories for all. For over 16 years, the store was owned and run by a familiar and cherished face in town – Monique.

After working at Barrakets for 9 years prior to taking ownership, Monique dedicated 25 incredible years to building a space filled with warmth, style, and community spirit. Now, the next chapter begins as her daughter Ellie steps into the role, continuing the legacy.

"I was just 8 years old when Mum bought the store. I’ll always cherish the memories – from tagging along on buying trips to Sydney and Melbourne, to watching her pour her heart into every detail. Her blood, sweat, and tears shaped Barrakets into the beautiful space it is today. She weathered everything from droughts and floods to the challenges of Covid, always keeping the doors open for our town.
